We arranged to get an open Ford
and they loaned us another one
until they had gone over the engine
again, and we only got ours today.
We also spent Friday unpacking and
rearranging things.

Saturday we went downtown and
saw the Lurline off which was fun
and did a few errands and bin the
afternoon dressed in our bathing suits
and went to the other side of the island
both to look and to bathe. However it
was overcast and instead we bought a
bunch of eleven bananas for 10 cents
and ate all but three. It was a
beautiful drive over what is known
as "The Pali." You climb from
Honolulu about 1200 feet through
some city and lovely residential
districts and woods and suddenly
came to the edge of a 750 foot precipice
