Banff Dearest Mother, [1961?] After all that hot weather we had a sudden rain which we needed badly & this morning snow on the mountains. We were glad we came in? town yesterday or it would have been pretty cold camping out. We were up at the Icefields for 2 nights but it was awfully bright on the eyes. {Caption from page 14} Banff Sulphur Mountain Gondola Lift. This new Gondola LIit affords a beautiful view of Cascade Mountain (alt. 9836 ft.) and the Village of Banff. The four-passenger Gondolas rise 2293 ft. in 8 minutes from the Lower Terminal situated near the Upper Hot Springs on Sulphur Mountain to the Upper Terminal and Tea Room (alt. 7487 ft).
