I was so excited when I got
it from the Purser. It was
from some San Francisco
bookseller I think. If it hadn't
included "Water Gypsies" I shouldn't
have known it was from you.
It was before lunch, and when
I got back the Steward had
thrown the paper away. However
your letter came this afternoon
and thank you so much. I
also got a letter from Pete and
he still thinks he will be awfully
glad to see me and needless to
say the time can't go any too
fast to suit me. He will come
out on the tug he says to meet
the boat. So really I had a
grand start to the trip.
