Dearest Mother,

Here it is the last day
on board and I feel as if I had
just gotten on, even if I am so
anxious to get there, the time has
flown. I'm glad I embarked at San
Francisco for it was much the
easiest. from Los Angeles it is a
25 mile ride by electric train
and not easy unless you hit
the special train.

arrived the morning after we left
