you can't help but feel friendly
too. As you pass the people making

walk they smile and wish
you "good evening" as if th ey
were old friends.
We expect to be here about two
weeks and then are taking a small
cottage near a little hotel on
Kauii. Everyone says its he loveliest
island of all, but it's very quiet,
which is what we want for
painting. We have bought a
car (which one must have to get
around) its an open four passenger
Ford, which has had good care,
the engine newly overhauled at
the a recommended Ford place and
we can sell it back for two thirds
of what we paid for it. It seems
an excellent bet.
