said "Arigato" in reply judging
we were being invited by the priest
to tea. A lady came to the door bowing
low and then disappeared, the Priest
also went but came back soon with
a round frame into which he put
Pete's sketch. Then the lady appeared
again and said a few words and
it was time for us to go.

We went across the road and
through a gate into an enclousure with
a Temple. We left our shoes outside
and entered a low room with low
door ways in which was a shrine. A
large set? of drapes? hanging from the
ceiling . In a room on the right were
lots of golden candelabra red laquer
trees and a very lovely shrine. We
only looked for a minute and then
were invited into their living
quarters on one side of the first
room we entered marked x. Another
Japanese lady bowed and
a younger priest, also with
shaved head. The room
we sat in was very nice
