Lake. Come down Maligne Creek passing two trail builders. Trail good + new bridges [Turn?] off [on?] trail to right + camp on Lake mile or so from end. Smoke over every thing but beautiful spot Caroline camped here three years ago + [finds?] [Winifrede?] Brown's Mackinaw which she [threw?] away.

Boat on lake + Mary Hope + I go out. Then others swim + I wash Wind comes up + threatens rain. All five sleep in tenement Lose my trail rider's button back in tent. Big tepee is up + sit in there + have cocoa. Thurs 23. Wash all morning + dubbin boots. Caroline + Jim went down the lake + find the cached canoe of Curlie Phillips Lake quite rough + squally + raining

Start 4 o'clock with boat + canoe for narrows Charlie rowing boat gets on a rock. Picture. Rain + we land + have supper in rain. Marguerite paddles with Jim in stern + Hope + Frank in bow Dried clothes in tepee + had cocoa. Fri. 24 Breakfast 8:30 + climb up draw to left of camp across lake crossing in boat. Canoe taken by Brewster outfit

Walk up draw. Jim takes party up the side of the mountain but I [Keep?] down + hit a better way. Climb through timber + then above. Wait at pass while Caroline climbs a peak + Jim Marg. + Madelaine climb another. Say they saw Robson. Stay below with Caty + Frank. Start back about five. Rain + I get soaked + frozen. Bonar meets us with boat Dry clo + supper with Soup! Tepee with fire. Sleeping alone in Tenement.

but rain at 2:30 brings Busty Caty + Marg in too. Sat 25 Sometime packing as tenement is in an awful mess. Leave 9:30 + ride down to end of lake through timber on good trail Cabins at end of lake Stay behind to take a picture with Louise + Patches + Tex have a fast gallop to catch up. Take trail to right to Medicine
