Ellen is riding Blue Robin. Ride down to Pipestone + lunch at camp at meadows 9 miles from Louise where Mr. Drake who starts hunting tomorrow with Jim will camp first night. Much riding of horses at lunch. Leave everything but duffle there + go on to Louise. Come in right at stations wait for pack train + there trot + canter

night all our beds were tied + sewed up Ellen Marg + I discovered it + didnt let on so Caty + Tunny thought they did it + I was in on it. Barbara confessed this {illegible} she + Jim did it. The tepee also was on fire + all but me turned out in pajamas to snowball it. Most of the men were in the bushes watching. Jim rolled every one over in bed this morning but me who begged off.

something like that to climb it in 1894 (?) Our climb was up a grassy deep slope Burnt timber but not very thick to ridge. Above that shale for half an hour + then you were up. Mosquito Creek. Cabin there + we camp below. I went fishing with Jim's line, a hook + a bit of zephyr for a fly. Caught a grayling, first I ever saw, just where the creek comes into the Bow.
