sleep. Beds hard + rocky but I fare very well. Sat 18. Seven o'clock but no call. Get up with others in tent. Jim brings hot water up on horseback. He's starting off with Frank to find our trail. Lie in tent all morning. Louise reading. the others are washing etc. [Air?] bed before lunch. Then write diary + will write home. Jim is not back yet. Wash in early afternoon with Marguerite. Jim has found trail + had a drink from the Brazeau

Target practise. I get 17.28.(41) + M.S. is next. with 29.14. Supper + play sardines . + other games afterwards on hill I hid under my sleeping bag. Talk till eleven with M.S. but couldnt sleep till later. alone in Bell Tent. Sun 19 Ride Tex up the hill to the tents [dash] [I teep?] take down Bell. Go on Tex to get water for [Bonau?] for fires. Start 9:45. Ride up pass + then to [reach?]

over top. every one takes pictures. very windy on skyline. Pack left early + is ahead of us. Wait near canyon for Jim to find trail + start lunch. Led or drove horses down over stones + then down a bank. Tex drives quite well but wont lead rarely. Lunch after canyon + then reach Brazeau Ford stream + camp near rangers cabin. Rainy + tenement is crowded! Sit around + play ghosts. Then

watch men store up food for home trip in cabin. Talk around cook fire about "1 tin [dash] man [alumnae?] Campers." Cocoa. + as it rains we go to bed. Mon 20. Guides take Bell down when we are at breakfast. Start early good trail up Brazeau to Lake. Lovely view + take 2 pictures [dash] one of Lake. End of line all day. Lunch above

timber Line near Poboktau Pass. Ride on pass for some time. See Indian trail going along other side of Brazeau Lake + coming in at top of pass to our right. See five deer + a sheep. Also baby ptarmigan. Tex goes down on his knees, his first real stumble. He isnt very fast, but a nice gait + very sure footed when walking. Came on in the stream going into Pobok[hyphen] tau River. Walk in river below [dash] Sleeping alone

in bell. Ride was above timber line + camp is among balsam trees + heather + moss carpet. Walk with Marguerite after supper along path to try to see deer. Meet Madelaine + try to scare her by snapping trees but she disappeared. I watched the mountains with the glasses while they walked way up over shoulder + beyond. Candy + cocoa when we got back. Tues 21 Breakfast at 9 took a picture of table which is in open without the fly 19 horses are missing So we will have a late start I guess. Salvage a wash cloth which I left by river when we bathed Bonau was unwell last night + was given castor oil There are lots of [mt.?] slopes about on which to look for sheep but I dont see any.

Horses are finally found + we started about twelve. Trail led along mountain through burnt timber Lunch near cabin "Waterfall" on Poboktau River. Turned to right up [Poleque?] Creek [dash] Camped on hill. Louise Busty + I make up song to tune of These bone shall rise again' while others go swimming

mosquitoes bad + out come the veils. This inspired us to have a wedding which was quite a success. Florence being the minister + [....ting?] a very clever wedding ceremony. Lake. Come down Maligne Creek passing two trail builders. Trail good + new bridges [Turn?] off [on?] trail to right + camp on Lake mile or so from end. Smoke over every thing but beautiful spot Caroline camped here three years ago + [finds?] [Winifrede?] Brown's Mackinaw which she [threw?] away.
