got pretty exciting when the tug
finally came alongside and all
the welcomers clambered up the
ladder and in the side. Pete was
third with one arm covered with
Leis. They were too lovely, one of
pink carnations, just the flower
part or petals strung together, two
of ginger flowers which are the
small magnolia blossoms, only
deep yellow shading from the center
to white on the edges, they were
strung with pink (tiny) carnations
in between. Then another lavendar
colored lie {sic} that made a design
like weaving, but best of all a
whole lie {sic} of white gardenias, not
as large as the gardenias at home
and a different shape but they
smelt very strongly of gardenia smell.
